isitafox
Just spotted a wanted ad which got me thinking. I know Flipp runs 20" rims front and rear on his bike but I wondered if anyone had ever built up a dual 19" rimmed mod? I know it's a backwards idea as you'd end up with a really heavy front end and I'm not planning on trying it just wondered if anyone had already fatmod stylee?? (I know Genesis do a kids fatbike with mod wheels and dual 2.5" Creepy Crawlers so no point mentioning that!)
Paperclip
Would that work out with forks? I remember the older Echo (is it still Urban on a mod?) forks used to have quite some clearance but still. When I first started riding most of the 26" bike had similar front and rear rims and they used to run 2.5 High rollers or Minions (I think single ply fronts). Bet if you set up your bike with that these days it'd feel a bit weird!
Ross McArthur
Ha! Thats an awesome idea Dave. Pro's should take this idea on. Then it would be a real "training" bike.
N.Wood
Matt Staples used to run a rear rim as a front back in the day.
HippY
Milkyway had a dual 19 bike a while ago
Mark W
Yeah, someone on here built one up too. It was heavy and shit, quelle surprise. I seem to remember they did it because they thought it'd be better for taps or something like that?
Herbertlemon102
I actually bought a spare 19" wheel to try this out, I'm not sure when I can be arsed to build it up though.
