Guillermo Marin
April fools Oh sorry, i really don't knew it! In Spain it's 28th December!
stirlingpowers
This is one of the most elaborate jokes ever to appear two days late.
monkeyseemonkeydo
It's also not the first suspended (is that the right word?) trials bike.
Rusevelt
Looks like an Elastomer type suspension, remember Leeson bikes tried something simular years ago built into either the fork or headtube. Off topic, artist on that Drum & Bass track?
craigjames
It looks like a small air shock, not an elastomer. Hardly similar to the Leeson head tube set up either! Whatever it is though I really hope it is a mistimed April fools, certainly doesn't look like it should be taken seriously.
Culshaw95
Some of the Bristol rider may know John Aylott but he created this one nearly 3 years ago
Guillermo Marin
What's the weight of one of those suspensions? Frame has to be like 2 kg. with that...

You'd just have to train your upper body to take into account the top tube flex when preloading. Because that's essentially what it is, a pivoting top tube

Culshaw95
I remember him telling me about this but I never saw the pics. I think he taken it out on a ride ages ago but I never saw it in person. I can see some advantages but there are hardly any advantages to having suspension but I cant see this idea really getting out there in the trials world
SamKidney
Almost seems like cheating
stirlingpowers
Preloading the spring in the initial phase of the jump to use its stored energy in the late phase is borderline cheating, at least for the biketrials idea. What's next? Pressurizing an air volume with several little jumps before a big jump to power some catapult? Comp aside, I like it though. MartMini
Isn't it just taking pre-loading your tyre to the next level? hardly see it as cheating, you have to put the effort in to get it out
stirlingpowers
I think you are right. Perhaps the rule should be: Preloading only with the up and down movement of the jump...
weirdoku
What's the weight of one of those suspensions? Frame has to be like 2 kg. with that... 2KG is man weight. I ride a 2KG frame.
Ali C
I remember when 2kg was normal, wish my frame weighed that little haha
ogre
Cleary fake cause you'd need to account for chain growth with it being 4 bar

AdamR28
I initially thought it was an April fool as well, but Hashtagg got in touch asking what we thought of it... I think it's real.

You have done the right thing and told them it's about as appealing as calling your company Hashtagg?
