andy4895
New to the trials scene. I understand people mainly ride trials to hop onto and off of things. I have seen people do this in races. What I would really like to know is do people race them like BMX bikes? Either on a bmx track or a mountain bike single track. I can imagine this being a hell of a lot of fun but can't seem to find any record of it being done anywhere. Is this a thing or not? If not, why? Andrew. andy4895
See that is the type of racing I knew existed. Do you know if people race them like mountain bikes? On downhill tracks etc?
N.Wood
No, it would be horrible. Yeah I know some people use Inspired-type bikes on bmx tracks and stuff now and again, but a trials bike on proper mtb singletrack wouldn't be that great.
ItsMatt
if its something like a pump track or bmx race track (they're pretty much big pump tracks anyway?) it wouldn't even be worth pedaling 10ft in, which would be kinda interesting to watch.

ZArgrave
Surprised no one put this on here yet, Kenny Belaey tried out pretty much exactly what your on about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBBonhEeGUw that looks ace but isnt it the exact opposite? think hes meaning using pure trials bikes to do mountain biking which sounds like utter filth in all honesty. A.Baxter
Ahh yeah good point Zach, one of the riders in that video is on a trials bike. To be fair with some modifications like a few gears and an altered geo to a trials bike it could be an interesting idea.
