Matthew62 Posted March 26, 2015 Report Share Posted March 26, 2015 It depends…. on how you're either building the brake, or if you're putting 2 together from existing parts. The connector for a deore and SLX calliper are different whereas the barb and olive at the lever are the same. If you have a complete deore brake at the moment, you wouldn't be able to just put an SLX calliper on, you'd need the correct connector and fit it to your hose. It's just matching the fittings up to get them to work. Dream combination in my opinion. Stiffest calipers they've ever made, and one of the lightest levers with servo wave action. I'd have gone for m810 or the m775 xt levers but they are too hard to get in good nick now. I've seen a few xt 4 pot calipers knocking about so it could be done fairly cheaply with new levers off chain reaction. I looked into doing it before my Deores came up cheap but got screwed over by a lad on pinkbike who was selling a pair of xt calipers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
