monkeyseemonkeydo
£1150 or something close to that a month on a £168k mortgage (£198k house with £30k down). That was a 5 year fixed rate at 5.29% which made sense at the time but the interest rates just haven't moved so we kind of screwed ourselves over a bit. It's up for renewal this October though so will have a look around for something better. Before that we were paying £650 a month rent on a 2 bedroom end of terrace house with a garden and garage. Pete.M
My rent is only £200 but it's not my flat, I just stay with someone who had a spare room going.
forteh
3 bedroom mid terrace house, 245 quid a month mortgage + another 50 quid or so a month of equity loans:) I set my mortgage to a 1% above base rate tracker literally 2 months before financial crash so have been reaping the benefits of having a 1.5% interest rate!
Luke Rainbird
Currently looking at buying. On a 3/4 bed detached place worth ~£210k will be looking at around £700 pm. Could be worse.

Tony Harrison
I pay about £400 a month for a 58 sq m apartment (but I live in Asia, not sure if that's relevant to your question). I'd be tempted to get a UK mortgage as an investment, but I just don't want the headache really.
jack1987
£450 a month on a £147k mortgage for a 3 bed semi, we were paying the same in rent a couple of years ago on a 2 bed terrace.

Skoze
£425 a month for ONE f**kING ROOM in a fairly nice but small 3 bed flat in central Brighton.
MadManMike
Yeah it's nuts in Brighton, my bro was paying the same - his room just about fit a double bed, desk and wardrobe. Pretty tight though! That's why you should move to Bristol

weirdoku
£500 for a 6 x 4 ish meter square room in a 8 room house share. All bills included, 15 min walk into town, right next to a large Sainsburys.
JD™
£1200 rent for two bedrooms in the middle of f**king nowhere. We've got like three times as many front doors as most people, though, so I think that's where the premium is. I think the mortgage on the flat in Redhill is about £600 for one bedroom, mainly because wife went for a 'safe' (read: expensive) option when remortgaging as a landlord.
