elplaza
Hi all!! I'm new in Weymouth as well as new in the trials world. I've been riding enduro lots of years but I decided to try with trials few months ago. I would like to meet people around Weymouth to ride with and some nice places to go. Thanks! elplaza
Thanks N.Wood. The quarries in Porland seem a good place to do trials. It is allowed to enter? What´s the best one? Thanks!
monkeyseemonkeydo
The Bill is really good (and open all week) but the quarries up near the Portland Heights hotel are pretty good. Some are still working though so you need to go on Sundays. There's also some stuff by the Verne and also if you head along Bumpers Lane and keep going there's plenty to do. Around Weymouth itself there's the stuff by the pavillion (transitiony stuff as well as walls/platforms near where the Condor used to dock. Also some walls, rails and groins along the sea front and definitely worth heading over towards the Nothe Fort and some of the sea defenses around that area. elplaza
Thank you so much for the info!! It´s nice to know that there´s some stuff near my house. I can go to the Pavilion area after work, and Portland for weekend or fridays! By the way... anyone riding enduro?
N.Wood
Just a note, are you talking about moto trials or bicycle trials? This is a bicycle trials forum, (though there are some people who ride moto trials on here) but you might be better off finding a specific forum. Anyway, the quarries are a good bet for either moto or cycle.

N.Wood
Thats cool, there is a mountain biking forum section near the bottom of the front page called bike chat. Also check singletrackworld.com for a dedicated mtb forum. There is a path all the way around portland that I rode a couple weekends ago and thats quite good fun, some nice little rocky technical bits. About 12 miles I think, all around the island. Great views, too.
