Rebelistic
Yeah crank length will make a difference, you might well find 165 a bit short but it is down to personal preference. I think I used a standard 68mm bb on my omen, not 100%. http://www.omenbikes.com/products/3-frame-omen-twentyfour-black says it's a 68mm shell. HarryBradbury
Definitely go with a longer length, makes it easier to generally ride street with a 24/26", plus makes it easier to pedalhop
gale30jawa
all sorted now found some SLX cranks at a great price now!!
brunotrial
For me, the best size for street trial is 170mm to 175mm
gale30jawa
Yeah as I said found some SLX crank! 175 long with the correct bb size to
dk2
Slx cranks are okay, but in my optic saint's are superior..the steel insert for the pedal threads and over all strength of the saint would make them my choice. ...shorter crank arms gives less power, but offer more front tyre clearance for barspins and x-ups...so it has its pros/cons... gale30jawa
dk2 I hear what your saying but I am only just starting out, SLX will be fine for now, if I feel I have to upgrade in the future I can!
iamjoewest
So with the Saint cranks or the SLX cranks are you running a 22 tooth ring? I am not having luck with understanding the setup for getting a 22 tooth on those cranksets.
Dman
Not sure the newer saints m820 have a dual spider, the m815 had dual spider, basically you need cranks with a dual spider with a bcd ( bolt circle diameter) of 104mm/64mm, the bash either inspired or truvativ trials are 104mm bcd and something like a middleburn 22t chainring in 64mm.
