AdamR28
Date: Thursday 5th March Location: Curborough Times: Please arrive by 9:30 latest. First car out on track at 10, finish 5. Only one car allowed on track at any one time. Directions: http://user28967.vs.easily.co.uk/location-of-curborough-sprint-course/ and http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/189179-the-tf-track-day-thread/?p=2624273 Car prep: Make sure the oil is right up the max on your dipstick, the tyres are all inflated to the correct pressure, coolant isn't low, brake pads have at least a few mm of meat on them - general good condition is more than adequate. If you have at least 3-4mm of tread on your tyres at the start of the day that will be more than enough. Noise isn't an issue. You'll not use more than half a tank of fuel all day. Nobody is scouting for F1 and you'll have more fun in a standard car that you don't have to worry about breaking than one that's got the latest tweaks and untested 'upgrades' on it. Helmets: Recommended but not mandatory. Timing is allowed, I will bring a stopwatch and related gubbins if people wish to check on their progress through the day. Note: There is no first aid or other facilities on site. The disclaimer covers all of us. Other: We will probably run in groups, so we can passenger with each other, you don't sit there idling for ages, gives people chance to nip off to get fuel / food if needed without missing out on track time. Passengers / spectators welcome and free of charge. Please speak to Luke (http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/user/5821-luke-rainbird/) about payment if you haven't already done so. Total cost for the venue is £650 which we'll split between us. Drivers: 1. Rainbird2. Pete - £65 Payment received3. Dann27089461£8284 - £65 Payment received4. Mike (Who's not really a "Mad Man", he made bad choices 13 years ago)5. RobinJI - £65 Payment received6. Haz - £65 Payment received7. Kennard8. Thanks for sorting it all Adam. Not directly, if you're coming down the M6 you could jump off at Cannock and head along the A5/Watling Street, you can then come off on the A5148 to get to the track via shell. To be honest it's probably not worth it edit: The jet garage might actually do super as well, I'll have a look on the way home tonight as I need to fill up. They do a cheap fuel promotion 2 days a week, I think thursdays is one of them, if so you'll be paying about £1.03-£1.05 litre petrol I think. Pashley26
Haha, no, you just kinda implied you would come Jardo... can be taken off the list if you wish Ed - that's amazing, thanks a lot! I'm sure I will be able to make it in one way or another, I might even have a car that's actually enjoyable to drive above 40mph by then. No promises though. Last time there was a Trials Forum car event I wrote my car off the day before to get out of it, I hope the same doesn't happen this time. AdamR28
Not a good omen...Are you in for driving or are you in a 'suck it and see' kinda position? I'm sure we can deal with that either way anyway
Pashley26
Basically yes. I'm well up for attendance, but I can't confirm a drive until I know if I am buying this VR6. Keep my name up for now, I'm confident I am going to buy this VR6 is the figures work out well enough and it's what I'm told it is. Doubt I will be going flat out though, we all know that any man who goes home in one piece with no big bills is the real winner at any Motorsport based event. Luke Rainbird
Nice one Ads.I'll sling a message around to the folk I've not had any funds from when I get home in a bit - been an odd day playing PA for an Admiral and he doesn't half go on a bit In terms of funds, I'll take £65 from everyone and should numbers work such that it's cheaper I'll refund the difference to everybody on the day. Keeps it as simple as possible.Jardo - if it doesn't work out just find another 1.8t

MadManMike
Can't wait for this Hopefully doing a few tweaks to the car this weekend and fingers crossed I can get some non-shagged suspension on it before Curby too - that might be a bit ambitious though. Engine seems to be behaving itself at the moment, so that's good too. Looking forward to getting some cool photos too.
dann2707
I need my car setting up geo wise prior to coming - not primarily for this day, camber and toe is out after lowering it. MadManMike
I would appreciate a quick look over mine Adam, mine pulls to the right quite severely even after having tracking done twice. I suspect it's a knackered shock absorber, but I thought you might know more...
AdamR28
That is very strange. Definitely done something wrong there You got camber bolts on the front? Or do the shocks allow adjustment?I'd offer to do it on the day but it would be a hassle, welcome to come over one evening though if you want?No worries Mike I'll bring all my geo-ing kit along then, haha, sounds like I'll be busy
dann2707
Aye god knows, it doesn't really make sense. I've got 25mm spacers on the front - no camber bolts fitted but i've got some ready for the geo set up. Shocks don't allow adjustment either.
