peggysue
OK so maybe a dumb question, but everything I buy a syringe from tarty bikes I seem to get a couple of uses out of it before its ruined. It's goes stupidly tight whether I've used water or oil bleed. Trying to pull it apart and lightly grease the rubber works maybe for a few pulls. Then it's back to being stiff which makes my bleeding a pain. Am I storing it wrong? Is the rubber expanding somehow? Sick of having to buy new ones all the time. Cheers
Christiaan
Same here! It's so tight that there impossible to use...
Aldred_85
I find this happens with all syringes. I think they are medicinal one use type affairs. Everyone i've ever bought has been sealed. Perhaps open air causes swelling?
isitafox
I've had more than one occasion with my syringe when bleeding brakes where I've squeezed it that hard that it suddenly released and sprayed brake fluid out the lever/reservoir and absolutely covered me and half the box at work!
AdamR28
Yeah, we get a few months out of one in our workshop before it needs changing. Brake fluids will make the seal swell more quickly than water.
Danny
Pull the plunger out and dry it off after use (leaving it out while stored). Or just buy a load on ebay (i found 20x60ml for £3.40).
dezmtber
The only bleed kit I have worked with that lasts, is avids workshop bleed kit they cost a small fortune but so far I have been bleeding avids for just over a year with this and its showing no signs of tightness or failing at all. If you bleed as often as you say you do then this kit is a must buy http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/mobile/avid-professional-disc-brake-bleed-kit/rp-prod75475
Jamie_Trials
I had this problem before so I bought a syringe without the usual rubber. Ended up going the other way and leaking cause it was too loose. Can't win.
