HippY
Hey guys I am planning to change the rear rim on my bike at the moment it is laced with an Echo rim (ERD 480) and I want to lace a Because rim there (ERD 491) Is it possible to do with the old set of spokes or I should buy new ones? niconj
New spokes as the old ones will be too short.
Aldred_85
Agreed, logically looking atleast 5mm too short. I used an online calculator to confirm, used a hope ss rear hub diamensions as a reference. 480 erd gave 232 ish, where as 491 gave 238 ish. Emphasis on "ish", before any one says "its 238.7 actually" Haha. This was based on 32 spoke 3x.
niconj
Best spokes calculator is the spokomat that calculates with the actual spoke/nipple versions and spoke tension that you are going to use.
