gale30jawa
Hi guys, thinking about building up my yaabaa for a ride at the weekend, I can decide on stem to use. What do you guys recommend? I believe its a +35bb if that helps?
N.Wood
1499? If so yeah +35, and if so good man they are awesome frames.
gale30jawa
I don't know what model of yaabaa it is. If it helps it has vertical drop outs not horizontal!
isitafox
120x17º??
gale30jawa
If it makes any difference I am trying to learn back wheel moves! So would that mean I am better off using a 150x30 type stem?
N.Wood
IIRC they had graphics on the... seatstay I think saying what it is. Think they did a 499, 699 and 1499 or something. Was linked to the price, funnily enough. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/131331-yaabaa-1499/?hl=%2Byaabaa+%2B1499 That was mine from way back when. gale30jawa
mine has the triangle top tubes! Like Ali c yaabaa. Believe its called the Stinger?? Edited December 18, 2014 by gale30jawa
N.Wood
Ahh yeah. I thiiink they were like +40 with a longer back end? Either way, whatever stem I ran or whatever Isitafox suggests would be good. No point going massively high or long because stems are only like that these days to deal with the scourge on society that is the +80 bb. gale30jawa
The strange thing is I tryed the 150x30 on a sarecen mad team pro frame and it felt ok, which I didn't expect as that's about +10bb

gale30jawa
it was only a experiment Ross
bing
My limey 326 was +35, and a 150x30 was too high. I ran a trialtech 130x25 on it, perfect geo for that bb rise and a 380mm rear end
