T'Marino 24" street toy

New toy for me. Called it the T'Marino, as far as I'm aware, I'm the only Yorkshireman with one now. Got donated a cracked Marino 24 frame off cocky, I could have it for free as it was quite badly cracked and needed a fairly big repair.

Basically it's been seam welded along all directions of the crack, then a steel tube split in half to create a sleeve was welded over the top, joined to the bb shell and down tube, and the also seam welded along its length. The bloke who did it for me did it for free as I sorted him a load of parts out for a drift trike

I wasn't a fan of the green, plus half of it had been ground off so the welder could repair it. Hence the black Matt rattle can until I can afford to get it powder coated

The finished article. The geo measures with these forks, quite roughly with the tape measure, 1030wb, 365cs, +25bb and unsure of head angle, looks 73/74. The silver urbans were all I could afford for the time being. I'll probably get them painted the same colour as the frame. It's not a mega bucks build, it's cost me less than £250 all in for everything, including the wheelset. So it's a cheap and fun thing for me to mess about on indoors whilst the weather is shite. I still have the echo 24 for bouncy stuff as well, so I can still do comps should the need take me

Do they all still ride their respective frames. Garland doesn't ride hardly at all, you are on something else now, don't know the middle two, and spence has gone back to a fourplay as far as I know. Sold his hex to Joe McKee. I'm probably wrong but I like the name. Just need the nice paint job and decals making

Looks sweet!

Cheers old lad. How's married life treating you

Yeah Danny G is out Sunday :) the others are quiet but I know Jake and Andrew get out on the sly.

I don't have to comment on the actual bike you already know I love that frame! My fav geo in the world!!

Been and had a play out this aft with Mikey d. It rides well nice, still can do trialsy stuff on it and it spins quite well too. Just need to learn some stuff now

Haha Jake rides again?

Do you not have him on facebook still? He bought Adam Wilson's (might not be the correct name) bike. Not so much this last month but I know he's been out a fair bit on it :)

I think Spence has an Arcade but it might be a Console. I should know as I only saw him a few weeks ago but can't remember. He was in a vid with Travis and Ross not long back. Nice bike anyways.

Was a Marino in that video.

how the hell did someone manage to crack a steel tube this way? bashing to downtube onto a rotating angle grinder?

:)

no,seriously,how?

The frame was mine from Marino (

). The frame itself is really nice to ride but the disc mount failed within 2 week so I had to get that sorted to finish off the video and then we saw the split in the downtube (not really like any crack I have ever seen just a split) no dent's in that area the paint was all intact I just ended up with a hole in the frame. Ross and Leon sorted the new frame batches out with Marino so new disc tab design and thicker tubing.
