Rusevelt
Some of you may know that retailers are bracing for shopping frenzy when during this 'Black Friday' deal kicks off. What is the real meaning behind it all?
JD™
Its just americanised shit. Basically the day after thanksgiving, where they give their thanks to the founding forefathers which they then celebrate splitting from on July the 4th. It's also been said it's about retailers making a loss for most of the year, until late November when they go 'in the black'. Either way it's all shit, but if it gets you a good deal on something you didn't want or need then wahjey! I'll look back at this comment and regret not getting my clients involved, but they do ok the rest of the year so don't need the gimmicks.

Rusevelt
Jeez, I didn't know the level of history behind it, and seeing those people fighting over items makes the looting disorder during the 2011 London Riots, look tame. TrialsIsHard
If it gets me £80 headphones for £24.99, bring on the yank shite! Actually selling at £80, or RRP? A lot of black friday 'mega deals' are actually about 20% off usual prices advertised as 60% off RRP.

CC12345678910
I always thought it was the last pay day before Christmas? Your thinking of 'black eye friday' - pisstakingly referring to a bumper night of going out, spending traditionally bonus stuffed pay cheques getting lashed on £2 doubles and street fighting. Although spend a night out in barrow and you'll realise that people are not kidding about.
MadManMike
So, the footage from Tesco stores overnight... What a bunch of morons we share this world with.

Tom Booth
I love the idea of these people queuing for hours, wrestling people down for these Tv's and stuff then getting home to find it had broken in the mayhem.

Although spend a night out in barrow and you'll realise that people are not kidding about. Nah, I'm fully aware of Mad Friday and I'm a sporting participant... Just without the fighting bit. I love the idea of these people queuing for hours, wrestling people down for these Tv's and stuff then getting home to find it had broken in the mayhem. They're usually budget models too, so they're probably knackered by Christmas. Thing is, technology has such a quick turn over that in a couple of months these televisions will end of life and the prices will be rock bottom to get rid of existing stock. I've seen some of the videos on Facebook. f**king animals.

JD™
Asda branding is green. That's as good a reason for a riot as the last payday before Christmas.
Pashley26
I went to Sainsbury's. The only thing I purchased was an 8 pack of Brita water bottle filter discs. And they weren't even reduced. That is why I went there to be fair.
