Little Yoshi
Where's the spot at 1 minute in? Seen it in a few vids and always wanted to ride it.
Pete.M
Just after 1min is beside St Vincent Terrace, on the other side of the tall flats there. Edit: Another fan of the "nollie" to rail thingy here. The last line is terrifying. Edited November 25, 2014 by Pete.M
Little Yoshi
Mark what gear to you use to film?
Mark W
A couple of 550Ds, a Flycam Nano, a shit tripod I've now replaced with a really nice one, a Tokina 10-17mm fisheye, a Sigma 18-50mm and a Rode VideoMic.
CalopS
Watched this quite a few times now. It's really got me motivated to ride more. So many awesome lines. The up to front to rail and wheel swap on the post to gap then sorta side up to roll down especially! Skinny lines Great work on the edit too. What is the song Mark? Well done guys, definitely something to be proud of
Mark W
Cheers dude Glad to hear you're out riding more too The song is "Tantalus" by Menomena.
Stephen Morris
What are 'skinny lines?'
Mark W
It's just another term people use to describe riding on rails and narrow stuff like that.
John Shrewsbury
Great riding and filming from Mark and Ali. 2 things which keep sticking in my mind everytime I watch this video. Either they were or would be difficult to do or I'm just throwing it out there for Ali to try. I was hoping to see Ali give that Tree line an opposite pedal stroke up to the top of the log in a motor trial style. Also the Tyre tap to the Lamp post, would be great to see him try getting back onto the wall.
i like cunning stunts
What gear ratio is ali using looks like and 18 up front?
LEON
Looks like 22, he just hasn't got a bash guard bulking it all up.

Not quite sure what you mean by that first one, the second idea may be possible though, I'll have a try sometime. I'm running a 22t up front, I've just made myself a BB mounted bash guard to give as much clearance in hooks as possible.
i like cunning stunts
16t or 15t rear? I'm just deciding what ratio to use and was thinking 22t up front with a 16t tt freewheel on the rear? Or would that be too light frame is a marino archive. LEON
Most people use 22-16, a 15t would be nice for big run ups and big pedal gaps, but apart from that I think I'd prefer a 16t myself. Personal preference really, but it'll be one of those, a 14t or 17t are a no go. Edited November 30, 2014 by LEON
ben_travis
big manly legs such as mine require an 22:15.... Edited November 30, 2014 by ben_travis

Sorry I didn't put it clearer. As you land perfectly on the tree, I just keep thinking your going to turn your pedals round starting with your opposite foot then power wheel up to the top of it. Ali C
I think that may have been my original plan but the dip in the shape of the tree was too harsh to let me, the tree was very steep too, I don't have legs like Ben so I couldn't have powered up it anyway

Ash-Kennard
Just incredible, watched a few videos today but this is my favourite by far! Ridiculous riding as very Ali, but with more style than I thought was possible!
MeleeFighter
Video is great, but I like brakeless Ali's vid's more. Edited December 8, 2014 by MeleeFighter
ben_travis
Ali - would you care to shed any light on the sizes / dimensions of this bashguard you've made for your BB? If not, thats cool. just thought I'd ask as I've put a bash on my cranks and its humongous / unsightly in comparison to the size of my chainring... Ali C
I bought an ISG bb mounted adaptor then cut a brake booster in half and bolted it on, I shaped it a little bit with a grinder to to get it to the smallest size as possible but that's pretty much it
ben_travis
Ah fair enough. Good idea that Ali. might have to look into something similar
Mark W
Just be aware that if it's anything like Ali's, you'll have to spin it back around every time it comes into contact with anything
