FamilyBiker
if you go for magura or other rim brakes like 12-16 bar if you want to run disc up to 40 to 60 bar hydraulic pressure. to be honest alu isnt a good material for a hydraulic hose, you would need like a wallthickness of 3mm for it to last ages and it would weight multiple times more than a vinyl hose edit:maybe 1.8mm with rim brakes, about triple the weight of a vinyl hose though Edited November 6, 2014 by FamilyBiker

Herbertlemon102
Personally I'd just run the hose through the frame
isitafox
If you're going to design it with a built in chain tensioner then go for vertical dropouts and partially integrated HS33 mounts so you would only need a top clamp. Could also do it so instead of screwing the mount bolts into the frame you could use some sleeve nuts fitted from underneath the stay so you'd never have to worry about stripping the threads
