Clerictgm mk2
I've noticed that I like more used/beat-up parts and bikes than shiny brand new ones. Anyone have similar taste? For example my old brown rewelded steel Marino is one of my favourite bikes despite of it costs like trash, frame was bent and it partly looks like homeless guy bike. But I loved this bike so much and if it rides who cares how it looks and how much it costs. Scratches, dents, it's like battle scars, it makes bike brutal and you right off the bat understand that this is a "workhorse". Also I like to repair things, it's so awesome to bring broken parts to life again and ride it, knowing that this is your merit that it works. FamilyBiker
that bike is seriously sexy btw! i am more the "buy new, rape it,then bin it" guy,i often just strip my bike down to the single bolt, then rebuild it though. seems to be a bike mechanic thing but hey,you can buy my beat-up parts if you want, got a whole shed of them Edited October 11, 2014 by FamilyBiker
weirdoku
Are you f**king kidding me? Just the other week in your thread you were moaning about how your brake lever clamps are marking your shiny new handle bars, now you prefer beat up parts? Make up your mind.

Muel
So "beat up" there's not a single scratch on it?

Clerictgm mk2
So "beat up" there's not a single scratch on it? Don't lie, pawl. Frame was beat up to shit and resprayed with homeless-dirty-poor brown spraycan. And also it was cracked and rewelded in 2 places. Totally homeless ghetto bike. FamilyBiker
pawls are the parts of a hubs freewheel mechanism that engage to apply the force from the chain/sprocket to the hubshell. :wink2: Edited October 13, 2014 by FamilyBiker
