Boat

My old man had just sold his, 20ft river/canal cruiser with a 20hp 4 stroke Honda engine on. He did fishing and stuff out of it. It's not the boat that's the pricey bit, it's the marina/mooring fees and the yearly few to the waterways board. That was about £2k on it's own in goole marina where he had it moored up

Thats cool. Luckily I live within trailering distance of a few ramps and have a place to store it, also being on the sea no waterways to pay. I will have to pay launching fees and stuff but thats no problem. I also have access to a couple of moorings on the Dart if neccesary.

Sailing on the sea is full of regulations and stuff you have to pass and be competent.

erm, no, it isn't.

Any moron with enough money can buy a boat and sail off into the distance 100% legally. That's why, statistically, sailing is such a dangerous sport.
