Clerictgm mk2
I bought some Hopes and don't want them to leave traces at my brandnew Arcade white bars. Is that possible some way (just set hopes with some paper between clamps and bars)?
trialsiain
Is it possible you can try this out for yourself ?
FamilyBiker
come on,we are doing THE mark-leaving sport in cycling there is,why would you want that other than selling your bars as new after using them? just ride that handlebars and have fun, mate Edited September 24, 2014 by FamilyBiker

SamKidney
As above, the clamping force will leave a mark regardless on white bars, and theyre far more likely to show crash damage that lever clamp damage anyway Wasted effort
Clerictgm mk2
I have nothing against natural trials damage like scratches and stuff. But clamp marks looks like shit. >Never buy white bars. Don't want to wait a month+ of delivery. And I really like white bars. Well, as a last resort I'll raw and polish them. Disc.Jokie.
you won't see the makes anyway if the brakes are over them?
N.Wood
If you clamp them up tight without moving the lever it won't mark too badly. It's adjusting the angle with the brake attached and bolts not undone that f**ks them up good.
dezmtber
You could use some paint polish to clean the bars up after you remove the brakes

Clerictgm mk2
What a stupid thread. Any proofs? If I buy something new I want it at least few weeks to be in mint condition. That's all.
weirdoku
You might as well not use it for that few weeks.
