anzo
I've abandoned my peice of shit iPhone for a Galaxy S5 (highly recommended by the way)... My iPhone is bricked...long story, but the file structure is still accessible in a fashion, so my music is visible in iTunes but it refuses to sync, so there is music on my phone that I can't get off. So, I want some software that is; 1. Free! 2. Lets me view the files on the iPhone (music is all I'm bothered about) 3. Lets me transfer the music files to a file on my desktop. No adware, no bullshit 'lets you copy at snails pace until I pay $34.99'. I know there use to be lots of small programs for this sort of thing but now I can't find anything. isitafox
Have you tried connecting it to Winamp? I use that to transfer music files to my Shuffle so might be worth a go.
anzo
I'll try it -- I'm finding most applications only support 'one way transfers' so I can copy from PC to iPhone, but not backwards. Or have you every copied from your shuffle to your PC? Ta!
HippY
The problem is that the music is decoded on the iDevice, that is the reason why you cannot just copy it... Honestly I have never heard of way getting music off from an iDevice:(
anzo
Found one that works -- Media Monkey. Lets me copy from the iPhone to the hard drive, problem is its named them all random file names (but the artist/title is still intact) so it works, but a little work required from me, but I'm happy.
daveZOO
http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/ It is not free but you can download songs with the trial version.
TrialsIsHard
Most programmes of this nature allow you to transfer 10 songs at a time, or something similar. Not ideal when you could have 64gb of music on there.. All attempts I've had to get music off an iPod have ended in either extremely slow transfers/ limited number of song transfers and always unfathomable anger. JD™
There used to be a program called senuti tha did this well, might be worth checking out to see if it transfers more of the info.
