adjpitts
Hey guys, I am new to having a bike and I was wondering what I should do so I can store my sherco trials bike for winter? What do you recommend I do? Also, whilst riding my bike, the headlight will be on, but when the fan comes on, half of the headlight goes out? Is this normal or does something need replacing? Thank you!
Little Yoshi
This is for trial push bikes my friend. You're looking for Trials Central. As for storing it, have you got a waterproof shed? Will you not be using it at all over the winter?
Dman
Drain the petrol and put it away, I wouldn't do anything else. Clean carb out when you next get it out. I don't think headlight should go out but you don't need it so don't worry.
jack dickinson
make sure it's spotless, so everything doesn't carode. made that mistake before p.s. its normal for the headlight to go out because all the power is being directed to the fan. if it was me id just take it off. also you should find that when you rev the engine it get brighter? Filo
Probly the most important thing is, have the bike running, turn the fuel off and let it run until it stops. The little float needle can stick within the seat if left for to long with old full/ oil left inside the carbie. The other thing is over time, sitting around the clutch can fuse together, make sure the clutch is free before your first ride, if not when you click into gear it'll take off. Store it on a stand with both wheels are off the ground. Long periods on cold concrete will distort the tyres.
