williams
Hey tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything useful.. Does anyone have a way to get a freewheel of a crank without a vice? I have everything else, just not a vice...

Perez
Find a hole in the ground, put the crank there without the pedal, put the FW tool locked in place with a spare axle and nuts, use a pipe for maximum leverage on the tool, and unlocked it. I used to do that and it worked just fine, if you want i can take pictures of it.

Paperclip
If you live near any kind of car garage or tyre garage just take your crank and tool and ask if they will let you use their drill for a second. That does the trick and takes about 10 seconds. Any freewheel tool should fit their drills.
