aener
You wake up in the middle of the night coughing. Your house is on fire.Fortunately, all your co-residents (edit: including pets) are elsewhere tonight - you are the only person living thing in, or even near the house. All your bikes are securely locked up in a fireproof, waterproof, lightningproof, meteorproof outbuilding.Edit: The fire is in the walls, floor and ceiling and there is no chance of even a fleet of fire engines putting it out in time to save all your other belongings, but remarkably the path to your selected item is devoid of fire. You have time to grab one, and only one material possession. What is it? I'd like to kick this off with an interesting one, but I'm afraid I'm a boring b*****d and think it would be the external hard drive with all digital work I've done on. Jake.
My french bulldog Just realized that can't really count as a possession. Laptop I guess. A fire extinguisher if there is one, and try combat the fire

ItsMatt
Would a computer count as one item? I have multiple drives edit: The Tower Edited August 16, 2014 by ItsMatt
aener
Assuming you mean the tower, yes. If you have multiple externals, it can only be the tower or one of the drives.
Blake
Guitar I guess? That's such a hard question. Is this house covered by insurance? Including contents damage through fire or theft?

Jamie_Trials
My phone so I could take selfies while the house burnt down. It'd probably be my tower to be honest with you. If this actually happens though I'm sure I'd try outperform a storage removal team and remove all the contents of the house before the house burnt down. fruitbat
Either my PC tower or my backup drives (which are kept elsewhere in the house in the event of a fire to increase my chances of getting at least one of them out) - really should look at cloud backup. If I was using cloud backups (therefore making my pictures & other stuff safe), it'd be the storage box that we keep my Daughter's stuff in, things she has made & got as she has grown up and other important stuff, only 5 years old but still a full box, that or the box(es) of old family photos that aren't digitalised, including our wedding album

ManxTrialSpaz
I think the instincts bore into me from uni fire alarm drills would kick in. Get some warm clothes on and grab the ipod. It's well shit being tired and standing around outside in the early hours of the morning and I don't really have any prized possessions that aren't in the garage.
