ericbenjaminjr
I've seen allot of 24" and mods with 1.85. I seen a guy in facebook running 26 x 1.8 schwalbe Rocket Ron. Its super light (375g) but it seems kinda on the slim side. Anybody running fronts that slim?
Clerictgm mk2
There are absolutely no problem with 26 1.8 on front. If you want to go lighter - do it.
Blake
I used to run a 1.9 on my mod, as long as its about the width of the rim theres no problems
TOMTRIALS123
I know Steve Davies does and he has no problems with running 1.8s whatsoever. He also has a really thin rim too but then again he does spent most of his time on the rear wheel.
jack dickinson
i thought 2.0 was perfect on my 24". same goes with stock and mod for me.
ericbenjaminjr
So what drawbacks would there be? Like with gaps to front, especially if you can't do them. I'm guessing it puts more stress on the fork and rim. Rocket Ron is also somewhat low profile, about 43mm high. So less bounce and impact absorption.
