LEON
Not just talking trials or even bike specific stuff, must be really slim & preferably have protection on the back.
jack dickinson
Try nike murcurial. Will have to wear football socs or rape them, so really only for usage with trousers on beacsue they dont have straps as far as im aware. N.Wood
So basically terrible.
LEON
Cheers, but yeah they're gonna need to support themselves, also if I have shiny smooth shin pad, will the pedal not just slide up it & do the same to my knee? I think I prefer the idea of a soft one the pedal will dig into.
aener
Jitsies are very slim.
isitafox
I found the 661 veggie pads to be pretty good. Weren't overly thick and the velcro straps on the back protected your calf.
LEON
I looked at Jitsie and I like the design, but the max measurement is 42cm, and my calf is 43cm, so It'd probably be pretty tight with no adjustment, plus they look a bit like fishnet stockings from the back! Just looked at the 661 Dave, look pretty decent so I might try them if nothing decent comes up ta.

bing
G-forms are quite good so I've heard
Mark W
Try nike murcurial. Will have to wear football socs or rape them... Does that work by you threatening to rape them, or actually raping them?
Dman
G forms are ok but really tight to get on and offer barely any protection at the front and is non existent at the back. I own both g forms and veggies.
Influx
Used G forms myself, great pads. Get a size too big and you won't have the tightness issue, and they still fit snug. Protection isn't as good as other pads, but you hardly notice you're wearing them. skatehut have them on sale atm: https://www.skatehut.co.uk/brands/g-form?gclid=CKn7idOK4b8CFcSWtAodsUIA_w Edited July 25, 2014 by Influx
Scott Gibbs
Another vote for the 661 Veggies. Had mine about 10 years now they're a bit shredded now but still do the job.
dngr2self
I like 661 Veggies. They're light and unobtrusive but they do tend to get warm. Mine have taken some big knocks and saved me some nasty injuries.
Jake.
I still have my 661 veggies from 5 years ago... Want them?
niconj
I'm using the Jitsie and wouldn't recommend them when it comes to durability. The mesh part on the back tears easily when the pedal just scrapes your calf.
jack dickinson
Why dont you just "be a man" and face shin digs?
isitafox
I'd say this is why
LEON
Yeah, that ^ because some of them dig a bit too deep. Jake if you don't want them I could give them a go! Cheers, I'll message you. Nicon that was my exact worry, I scrape the backs of my legs a lot too so I thought they're not gonna last a week. Influx cheers! Gonna check them out now. jack dickinson
I'd say this is why I know people who had worse, still dont wear shin pads. In my opinion they are accetable with trousers on, but shkrts .... no
LEON
Well good for them, but I could do without time off work everytime this happens.
