Losing weight

I think this is already a problem, though it's the opposite of what one would expect from a thread like this. I'm losing weight although I'm not doing anything about it. If anything, I should be gaining weight and lots of it in view of my recent diet (I'm only too happy to visit Pizza Hut, McDonalds and KFC more often).

I'm about 178cm tall, used to weigh 73-75kg and had little fat. In the winter I gained a bit (literally a small bit) of fat due to inactivity and weighed 71kg. After working out for a few months, I went down to around 68kg, gained some more muscles and lost a negligible amount of fat. Now I only ride trials around 1-2x a week and today I weighed myself in at 66kg which got me worried for the first time. Muscles seem to be working just fine, there's more power in my riding than there used to be in the best years of my "career" although this might also be down to losing a bike's worth of body weight.

People around me keep saying that I've lost weight, usually judging by my face. The missus thinks I should go see a doctor. Is this something to worry about or just ignore? I haven't changed anything in my diet in the past year to make this happen, the only major difference is that I don't use sugar in my tea but sweetener. Then again in the summer I rarely drink tea anyway. Any advice?

By my maths (in case anyone is like me and doesn't understand metric weights too well) you're 5'8" and 10st 6lbs, which is perfectly fine IMO. I know several lads who are lighter than that.

Do you feel fit and healthy? If you were malnourished you'd know about it.

I do feel fit and healthy apart from frequently feeling tired but that's something I've got used to. I've been checked thoroughly for that and the doctor came up with nothing. I believe that's got more to do with inactivity (desk job) compared to when I was under 25 and still at uni. If I feel tired and go out riding, I no longer feel tired. Weight loss is starting to creep me out though and the weird thing is that people who haven't seen me for years and hardly know me are noticing it. With no fat to begin with, where's all my weight gone and why has it gone away if I'm eating normally? Perhaps I have lost 7kg+ of muscles but I certainly don't feel like it. My initial thought was a tapeworm, I do enjoy medium-rare steaks frequently.

With regards to calories, I have absolutely no idea... I eat a lot of snacks during the day but also a proper breakfast, dinner and supper.
