valk
It's impressive how steady it can stay mid-air. But it must be annoying for the rider to have that thing orbiting you thinking it'll chop your head off.
Mark W
But it must be annoying for the rider to have that thing orbiting you thinking it'll chop your head off. Stan and I were riding/filming in Southport and this random dude turned up with one and asked if he could film me filming Stan. Was really weird, especially as he didn't seem to have much control - just aware of this thing buzzing around haphazardly...
Jake.
Could have gotten some very nice view points with that drone. Shame.
PatJsy
Is that one of those things that follows you around? If so, how does it know where you are? Do you have to have some kind of wireless gadget on you? Oh and is there anything to stop it from flying into a tree etc whilst it's doing it? Sorry for all the questions, pretty curious! ha
Ross McArthur
You have to be pretty careful. Best used in areas with no trees or power lines etc. Theres 4 knobs you attach to your handle bars. One side is for up and down, and the other side is for left and right. I had a go of one when I was in Spain and crashed the f**ker right into the ground. I forgot that the Euro boys run them the wrong way round!!

Sorry for all the questions, pretty curious! ha no it is not one that follows you around I fly the drone and do the filming. It has a wireless connection with my iPad or iPhone so I can see what I am filming. I can also tilt the lens up and down to get a better angle on my phone as well as start and stop filming or take a picture. It is stable as it has a good stabilizer integrated And no there is nothing that avoids flying it into the threes so you need to be a bit carefull I did not annoy her too much, it is not that the drone was right next to her. N.Wood
Do these things stop themselves going out of signal, or do they just drop out of the sky when they do?
isitafox
If they lose a signal they drop to about 60ft then return in a direct line to where they took off from via a built in GPS receiver. There's some pretty good videos on YouTube if you search for Phantom Drone.
