dngr2self
I'd have preferred to see Akrigg do the whole advert riding the different bikes.
Ross McArthur
Maybe because the BMX riding was ok, everyone enjoys a bit of Akrigg but the fact that it was set in a Halfords makes you cringe, like being in an STD clinic. You know you have to go, but once you're in all you want to do is leave.

TOMTRIALS123
Why is a fat guy opening and closing the doors that clearly state they are automatic? Maybe its not just their bikes that need working on...
weirdoku
That's the Hedge End store in Southampton! I won't forget working in that shitty place! EDIT: Maybe it's not, just re-watched the intro, the store front doesn't look like the one I worked in but the inside layout looks identical. Maybe all their big stores have the same layout! Luke Rainbird
I thought that too - interior looks nigh on identical to the Marsh Mills store but don't think it is.

John Shrewsbury
It's ment to be the Liverpool store. Kinda sucks as we sell loads of Mongoose bmxs at Xmas time. Now we won't sell hardly any. Aleast they haven't got hold of Wethepeople. Riding was ok, but yeh Halfords u need to pull out of the cycle trade.
dngr2self
They manage to convince people that they know what they're doing unfortunately.

monkeyseemonkeydo
When the guy throws the BMX onto the bike stand... that would dent some road bikes and XC machines I bet, at least remove a bit of paint.

Both Mongoose and WTP are distributed by CSG so they might get them in future I suppose. Hopefully CSG are astute enough to realise they can flog off a brand like Mongoose which most riders don't have an interest in to Halfords, whereas keeping a brand riders are interested in like WTP to more specialist shops would be in their interests. Dave - know what you mean. Can even hear it hitting the stand...
LEON
Did the stand even have rubber in the clamp? Textbook Halfords.
isitafox
I'm impressed they even had a stand, I went to the Stockport Halfords once to try and get a freewheel tool and the lad in there said his boss wouldn't even let them have one in the workshop let alone sell them! weirdoku
When I worked there we had a stand but no rubber in the clamp, but I always wrapped a piece of cloth around the frame before putting it in. One slight turn in the clamp and you'd have a lovely scratch.
ogre
my Halfords isn't that bad... but I do find this add annoying as we don't stock any of the bikes akrigg rides as standard, I believe they're online order only which is a bit gay. also, it takes their Halfords staff a day to fix the puncture fit a new tube ...
