niconj
Hello, I was just wondering how the BB height of a 24'' compares to a 26''. My 24'' has got 60mm and the 26'' I've seen have lower bb heights. What would mine be on a 26''? Would I have to take into account other things like wheelbase (mine's 1040) and stuff? Nico. isitafox
You'd be after something quite high like +65 and above
niconj
Why not lower? Your Liberté has 55mm if I'm not mistaken. The thing is that since I've been riding some stock bikes, I want one rather than a 24''. They just feel so much nicer on the rear even though the guys around here told me that mine's better on the rear. On gaps it also feels that I have more leverage I you know what I mean. isitafox
I meant in terms of bb a high bb of +65 and above will feel similar to your
jack dickinson
there are low bb 24" frames they are called inspired bycicals they just have a seat and are heavy
FamilyBiker
i think you cant really compare a 24 to a 26,everyone has its own (dis)advantages. if you would insist in comparing the bb rise on its own between the bikes you´d end up with having the same effects for the same rise,at the end of the day its just the position in relation to the wheel axles. there are many factors that play a role in how a bike feels, its all a relation between them. Alex Dark
My interpretation of it is: roughly, +80 on a mod feels near to +70 on a 24 And +55 on a stock. So if you're used to a +60 mod then a +45 stock would be the most similar in my eyes
