david509allen
Has anyone replaced any of the internal parts of a 2004 magura lever with the red tpa dial on. If so how did you strip it apart.
bing
Take the lever off, stick a 2mm Allen key down the bleed plug hole and force the piston out. If the tpa is sticking, force the red dial off with a screwdriver, strip it and grease all the threads
Alex Dark
To remove piston: Undo lever pivot bolt. Pull out blade assy Undo shroud nut. Use a 1.5mm Allen key to gently push the piston out from the lever bore. To replace tpa etc: Wind on the tpa fully Pry the red tap knob off with a flat bladed screwdriver . Remove lever pivot bolt, and lever blade. Push out lever bushing with an Allen key or similar . Pull out the tpa plate.
