eskimo
Is it just me that has an abundance of cables? Not just electrical cables but bike ones too. Just clearing out some stuff and ffs, it's like they crawl into everything. Not to mention another upgrade will leave me with 4 hdmi and an optical. Least i can save the decent ones. And those stupid miny usb ones. grrrrrr So many. WHY, HOW? My original intention was to ask where to get rid of them. But i think the electronics bit in the scrapy will take them. I now spy a 6" stack of cds. Where do these get disposed of? Are they even recycle-able. /rant over

bikeperson45
I just tape everything together if it's going to be there for a while. Personally I'd recommend electrical tape because it has that nice stretchiness to it and holds well, though not as well as duct tape. *gentlydoesit
And how do they get tangled?? You set up the telly, xbox, dvd ect, shove the telly in the corner and leave it.. then when you need to go behind there for any reason its like a pit of vipers! forteh
I use cable management tray and spiral wrap from work, keeps all the cables for my pc all neat and tidy (thats 12 cables of differing sorts that are not wrapped in a nest of doom). edit: this shit, it's the don for keeping cables neat in a run because you can exit them at any point! Screw it to the wall and you don't even have them trailing on the floor collecting dust Edited June 10, 2014 by forteh

casualjoe
Cables can be considered general WEEE so can be recycled. Just put your postcode in here; http://www.recycle-more.co.uk/banklocator/banklocator.aspx to find your nearest bank.

HippY
I know the struggle took me like an hour to sort it out to look like this ( and still I have cables enough for like 4 storage drives....)
