Ross McArthur
"Stunts" is almost as bad as "jumps".

PatJsy
Boys do tricks, men do stunts. It's as easy as that
Ross McArthur
The thing is Danny himself calls them stunts doesn't he?... Yup. I guessed that was always a total piss take though. Still is I guess. Oh the banter!

HippY
the problem is that it would look strange for the everyday people that "Danny was seen doing a flair and a 180 tap barspin, right after he did a footjam whip. " This article was written for people 10-99, they must understand what they mean I reckon it would be good to read this though
isitafox
I wouldn't expect every move to be named but the occasional reference to bike trials in the media instead of stunt/trick/bmx riding wouldn't go amiss.

Ross McArthur
It's not a case of it being written for idiots, it’s a case of the reporter doing a half arsed job. Go through the rest of the BBC news and there will be in depth articles on war, finance, religion, disease bla bla. Every one of those stories is well written and informative. J.KYDD
So are BMX riders 'stunt' riders? Or BMXers? Is Ali C still a trials rider?
isitafox
This brings the question, what the f**k is Luke Cockshott???

Mark W
He is a stunt rider though? He's not a trials rider? (genuine post from me) He's got a TGS bike as well, and I've seen him do some stuff that's not that far off what Damon/Tunni do in terms of gaps and stuff, but also some super tech stuff as well. Ali and I were bullying him to try and make him put out a video on it but he just does that kind of thing for fun rather than to get all serious business with it. Sucks though 'cos the stuff he was doing was f**king ridiculous. Either way - look at Imaginate and Way Back Home - plenty of hooks, sidehops, static gaps, rail gaps, pedal ups, backwheeling stuff, ups to front, etc. He generally does a wider range of trials moves in videos than the people complaining that he's just a BMXer. I don't really know what more he could really do to show people he can ride trials. It's like people see a footjam whip and instantly can't process anything else.
Matthew62
He is a stunt rider though? He's not a trials rider? (genuine post from me) I know you tend to post matters of those of a 12 year old girl, but quite seriously….you're asking that question. I think you're actually making a statement despite the question mark, but either way has spending your nights in conflict over what text based medium is preferable to type "haha" at the end of every sentence has made you loose sight and any grip of normality. I find both the question and the statement beyond ignorant, however in your case I don't think you're doing it just to get a rise out of people. Watch any single one of his videos….quite simply, that is trials. Question answered. I haven't made that comment purely because I'm clearly infatuated with Danny, it's just a repeated statement that is so banal and without any justification that it tires to see it time and time again. dann2707
Haha mate you took it completely out of context there. I wasn't doing the tgs vs spinny debate what so ever. I meant he's more known by the public for being a stunt rider not a trials rider but congratulations on writing so much hahaI'm not the one for these debates anyway, I'd say the majority of the people I ride with have seats. I'm even wearing my 24tour tshirt as I type this.. Haha
