JD™
Ah, in that case it's because I'm pretty sure the X-Box shits itself over those kind of cables. The description itself says that the cable doesn't do the digital to analogue conversion, and that the device should. Pretty sure the Xbox doesn't, but that depends on which one we're talking about. *gentlydoesit
I thought the same as jd there, i forgive him Not sure, could look on my lads when I get home System> Console settings> Display>.... And that's as far as I can get because its not on a hdtv. Haha There are some configure options, could be worth a look. Azarathal
This is probably just a retardsd ex-colleague spouting crap but "apparently" as the hdmi cable/ports carry electrical current when you plug something in when both tv and device are turned on you can short the socket. I seriously doubt it but maybe there's some truth.
*gentlydoesit
Scart has a current, but I think you can only spike it. Doubt it'll short. Would think hdmi woild be similar.
manuel
Hdmi I don't think is hot swapable. Meaning if you unplug/plug stuff in with it on you can permaf**k it

Digital sources require a fair bit more current than analog, hence why when the "digital switchover" happened many people found it harder to get a picture in poor signal areas
