CLEAN TRIALS - First Products

Oh noes. I soo hoped for the brake lever to be the first proper trials lever besides the Echo, since Magura, Racing Line and Tensile chose

to go with the obvious design flaw of a rear protruded handlebar clamp, resulting in constantly injured legs and knees for some of us.

The latest prototype does have a knee-friendly handlebar clamp! So if it is not leaking or breaking too soon, we finally have a decent lever.

"Over a year of testing"? I thought they'd only made the prototypes relatively recently, unless I misread their FB page.

It's a pity the rear of the brake lever doesn't have some chamferring on the edges of the blade. Looks like it'd be pretty vicious!

I think he's been working on it 'out of the spotlight' for a while. These are made in Spain and Abel tells us he's 3 hours from the factory, so can go and keep an eye on things, must be easier than getting them made in the Far East. The price kinda reflects that though...

plastic piston lets it down imo.

Why's that? IMO it's better as it won't score the cylinder bore, which is the expensive bit.

Can water bleed them without any issues. If the piston is made from a non swelling material then it'd all dandy but I really prefer metal ones just as a precautionary measure.

Could be a different nylon to the magura ones.

However it would have to be pretty plasticy to not swell up. Shame it's a 13mm piston, seems like an annoying thing to not be compatible with what's already out there

Hinge = £££ to make and people will break it :(

I agree, it would be fragile. But at more than three times the price of an HS11 lever (and admittedly high fixed costs), perhaps there are a view cents left to bankruptcy.

What about some sort of hook and eye connection?

Sorry about my English, I don't know if that is the right term for it - I mean a rectangular opening over almost the whole width of the handlebar clamp to

distribute pressure for fitting accuracy, and an evenly wide hook on the counterpart.

No doubt they'll probably make a 13mm metal piston themselves at a later date = more dollar for them.

Not saying they're a greedy company at all, just saying it's what i'd do haha
