dann2707
Looking at changing my Pro diamond after having a bit of a fight with him today. What are you guys running that is single wall preferably, quite light and holds a great really well? Trialtech any good? I also realllllly don't want angled sidewalls. Thanks a lot Edited April 27, 2014 by dann2707
isitafox
Either get an SL or single wall a TR
dann2707
Was actually thinking of getting a tr in the end. So cheap. So grindy.
isitafox
Also the Because rim I ran on my Marino held a grind really well, would recommend one of those after the TR as they're the same price and will end up lighter singlewalled. There's a TR rim in the for sale section http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/187041-19-20-26-rims-eclat-seat/

niconj
Singlewall a TR as per your old comp build Daniel Would this be recommendable for a 24'' wheel as well?
craigjames
The TryAll K2 rims I have seem to pretty damn good too. With Coust pads the brake is awesome and after riding 2-3 times week in the dirt, rain and in dusty barn/warehouse it still doesn't need a grind. Would this be recommendable for a 24'' wheel as well? Yeah! Ran one on my 24" Echo and it was brilliant, if you take your time and single wall it they're reasonably light too
J.KYDD
I'm running a Maestro rim at getting on with it really well

dann2707
Thanks for all the replies is your pro diamond a write off then? your such a tgs basher dan! Pretty much, because the side wall is angled and the wheel is egged to f**k it makes the brake lever really close to the bars then at one interval you don't have to pull it much at all. Not interested in fixed it as it doesn't really hold a grind too well anyway!
niconj
Yeah! Ran one on my 24" Echo and it was brilliant, if you take your time and single wall it they're reasonably light too Did you just use a grinder and a 1mm cutting disc to single wall it? How about strength? I suppose the rim will lose a lot of its stiffness when single walled.
trialsalot
Not viz that's for sure! Ill be going down the echo tr rim route. Just save a bit weight somewhere else.
