callum199922
I have an inspired element 2013 and the back brake is very mushy as I say and much harder to pullthen the front and II think it it's because of the rubber spacers that stop the cable scratching the frame so I was wondering how could I take them off and not have my cable scratch up the frame. isitafox
It's nothing to do with those trust me. If the brake feels spongey then either the pads aren't hitting the rim squarely or the cable is stretching. First make sure the pads are set right and if that doesn't sort it try getting a linear slic brake cable.
*gentlydoesit
You could heatshrink the exposed bit, or pull an inner out of an old outer casing... but I'd agree with foxy that those won't be the problem. Unless they're cartoon sized
Scott Gibbs
A linear cable will help, also make sure the pads are square too.
