4 bolt cranks

***Sorry for everyone, I was tired and angry, next time I will put my banter into Angry thread***

Well, after a (hopefully) last meeting with a bike service guy, I decided that I want to do everythin by myself, so if something goes wrong, it will be my fault.

As Isitiafox pointed out, there are bolt on sprockets and cranks, that I saw many times on street trials, if I remember well with 22-16 gear ratio.

My question would be which crank set should I get, if I want to get a good quality but not super expensive crank set, and is there anything I should know about them.

Hi i have and is running Saint M810 (works flawless for 3 years) has been running SLX(No problem). the only thing is the External BB ive went through quite a few of these (The cheap doere/XT/XTR close to 20£) they develop play rather quick. now im on a nukeproof bb with seal stainless bearings has been running it for a while and it seems to hold up better, same price around 20-25£. if you get the saint in 83mm there is more room for the chainring, (ive had troubles with my Hex frame) you just need some extra washers (from memory they are 24mm inside (not 100% sure on it))

The newer saint may not have holes for the 22t ring only middel size (but a drill and a tap and it should work)

If you don't want to go to the expense of saints, get some secondhand truvativ holzfeller cranks that are Isis fitment, or failing that get some that come with a howitzer bb, they are practically bombproof and could withstand a nuclear war. So heavy duty it's unreal

Apparently not, because they're formed out of powder or something. I have a brand new set floating about which have the holes but no thread – after some chat on here I just decided not to do it because they probably wouldn't hold the thread.
