boozeman
He guys, I am trying to ride my '09 Onza Zoot, but I can't. I feel like I am about to fall over the handlebars everytime I ride. I struggle to do hops, manuals and many other simple tricks. The whole bike feels so cramped. I am just wondering if anyone else has a zoot and what size, degree of lift stems you use. Mine came fitted with a 50mm with a 7degree lift.
bing
Get a 90 or 110 x 35 degree rise. That'd be my suggestion. They are £15 off ebay. You can select your length and rise as well to suit your needs http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/System-EX-High-Rise-Upright-Handlebar-Stem-1-1-8-Ahead-/120640733449?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&var=&hash=item1c16bf8109

ogre
i ran a 70*25 with some high rise bars on my zoot to great effect. pop up a picture of your current bar+stem, how tall are you? and how much cycling outside of trials have you done? boozeman
Completely forgot about this thread, I have just ordered a 90mm 35 degree stem. I rode a mates bike with a very similar set up and I found it much better to ride.
boozeman
The new stem arrived today. Will be fitting it in a few mins. Hopefully will make the bike easier to ride. If it doesn't, what would people recommend? High rise bars?
Dman
What forks, standard zoot? How many stackers under stem? I'd say high rise bars next, da bomb tactics or inspired arcade risers I'd say.
waybe2014
Interested to see how you get on with the changes. I'm currently running a 90*10 stem with 40mm of stackers and 40mm rise on the bars. I'm on a zoot and 6ft.
boozeman
Yeah standard zoot. I've got 3 stackers on but I could fit another slim one on if needed.
Dman
Didn't realise you meant seatless zoot, not sure about that.
boozeman
I think I have started on the hardest bike ever to ride. I can manage to get the bike up onto the rear easier and can even Get it on the front wheel and balance better. It's a step in the right direction
James281098
From looking at the picture if it was me I would roll the bars slightly forward and make sure the levers are angled down abit more, that could just be personal preference though
bing
You need a longer stem on that, probably a 130x25 trialtech or something like that. Pretty sure the geo on them is the same as the first ever fourplay

boozeman
Just been out for a good ride. The new stem has worked a treat. I can now get on and stay on the back wheel for longer. All I did was roll the bars forward 10degrees.
