benv
So safer sticking with my fourplay then you think ? It's a nice bike, I just fancied a skye
monkeyseemonkeydo
I know that feeling. The Skye is a really nice bike and really well thought out but isn't for everyone. The benefits of things like the bolt through axles don't really make much difference for 99% of people but then again if he seriously is going to take £700 for it then it's a serious bargain and you'd easily get your money back if you decided not to stick with it and sell it on with a proper ad that doesn't make it look stolen!! benv
I know what your saying it is cheap, but if you say £1200 + maybe then wonder why it hasn't gone yet, it's been for sale for a while and over a month on gumtree. I'm waiting for him to reply so I'll see if I can't find out more about it
shercofray
So safer sticking with my fourplay then you think ? It's a nice bike, I just fancied a skye Definitely, I'm 6' 1 and riding a Skye feels pretty horrible in comparison to my fourplay. The standard front end is crazy low too as I think I read somewhere they have to cut the steerers down for some regulation? I may be wrong on that - if so someone correct me
Mark W
6'1. I've just put arcade bars on the fourplay and it's feels really good Last part of that kind of answers your overall question for you - if you like how your bike feels, there's no real point in changing. You'll progress faster by sticking to what you know (on what's already a good bike) rather than having to change to a totally different setup. benv
That's what I was thinking but a skye for £700 is tempting. I spent that on my fourplay and then bought zee's and arcade bars so what I lose on that will make the sky more anyway. isitafox
Sounds dodgy as f**k, if you want to make some money then go and buy it and pick up in person (with an entourage just in case) though I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't exist or is stolen. benv
I spoke to him last night asking him about it, he doesn't know anything about it saying his mate needed money and assured him it was worth a lot so he bought it. He laughed and said he hasn't a clue about it but go and see it if I want. I'm thinking nicked and wouldn't want to buy someone else's bike to be honest. If it was easy to make money on he would of sold it by now surely
HippY
are you happy with your current bike? is it sufficent for you, can the bike capable more than you? If you answered yes for these questions, I would not bother buying a risky and dodgy bike It is like a car You have a used car that has a value of £1000. it is yours for a year, you know the car, its problems, its sounds. If you could sell the car for £1300 and buy a better one, you might end up with a dodgy car with its new and maybe worse problems
