A.Baxter
So basically I saw on the Jistsie Facebook page that they have brought out some new brake clamps, designed for use without the plastic washers like the TNN and Try-All clamps, but on the description for them it says they are available in different heights, both 7mm and 9mm. I'm not really sure what they mean by this ? Is there any reason, advantages for doing this, and if so why ? Also i did look on there website to find more but it hasn't been updated and they're not on their site yet along with a lot of their other products. Here is where i found the clamps and description https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152061933531267&set=a.10151571603731267.1073741841.9137951266&type=1&theater Adam. J.KYDD
Do they mean height (length?) of adjustment? Edited March 27, 2014 by J.KYDD
AdamR28
One half of the clamp is 7mm deep, the other 9mm. The clamps are the same both ways up apart from the depth. Some frames / forks have very low profile mounts so the 9mm wide wouldn't fit, but the 7mm will, so you can get the brake as low to the frame / fork as possible. A.Baxter
Do they mean height (length?) of adjustment? Exactly what I mean, it's not really clear what they mean by different heights. I could see the benefit if it was adjustment it would be great to have so much adjustment ! Adam.
Mark W
Think there have been one or two frames made which need different clamps (seem to remember a Neon one recently?) because of the design of the brake mounts, so I guess this might be to address that? The clamps have got totally flat faces by the bolt slots so by the looks of things you'd just flip them over to get the different height maybe. Sweet bolts too... EDIT: Holy 4 post snake action - timing.

Cheers for clearing that up Adam it was bugging me. Adam.
