dann2707
Fair shout jake. The design was literally just showing what the theory was, with the bolts in the cam rather than using the cam if that makes sense! I think I know why i'm having issues though maybe. As per this pic (thanks tarty), the red bit is where the cam is hitting the cam bolt. Which to me doesn't look like it's enough and maybe why it's slipping out? But that's what my chain is like and adding another link makes it toooooooooooooo long. Mike that design is cool! I quite like the idea. *gentlydoesit
The fork would need to be joined at the rear, not open like I drew it there. Each peak will be 1mm apart like this
Jake.
Sounds like chainstay length/chain is a problem then...

bing
Mine point upwards, never had an issue. Work perfect. Maestro cams off trials addict. Pretty coarse notches, work very well
Mark W
Stolen have a thing called the 'Taperlock dropout' that's quite an interesting idea: http://bmx.transworld.net/1000082921/features/stolen-introduces-new-taper-lock-dropout/ Production ones can be seen here: http://www.stolenbmx.com/tech-taperlock
dann2707
Thats cool. Would it work for trials though? Where we need to get the chain tension and wheel centred absolutely bang on? Think I probably just need to lengthen my chain but i'm not wanting a half link jobby so i'm not really sure what my options are. err
I had this in mind, a while back, never did anything with it though. Excuse the shite sketchup pic EDIT: Mike/gently, your idea looks better Edited March 20, 2014 by err
*gentlydoesit
Cheeky boy, I did that one too. Great minds n all that I abandoned it because of the lack of micro ajustment, its at least 2.5mm each hole Edited March 20, 2014 by *gentlydoesit
dann2707
2.5 would not be ideal nope. Think cams are usually like 0.5mm?
Mark W
To give you an idea, the Trialtech HD ones are 0.1mm, and the Trialtech Lite ones are 0.3mm...

I'd guess at it only working on chromo frames though, i think ally would be too soft
