Got about a minute's worth of clips at the moment. Gimme just a couple more weeks, I beg of you
Sam Nichols
Is the frame holding up nicely, Flipp? No creaks or cracks or owt?
aener
Surprisingly, it's fine! Can't really believe it - most of the welds on it are absolutely gash, but it doesn't creak and it's showing no signs of cracks.Looks like I'm stuck with all this excess tubing now Hahaha. Sam Nichols
Nice one, glad to hear it!! I wasn't doubting you or anything but that's pretty damn cool that your first effort is holding its own! Great stuff
gale30jawa
Aener, how dose it handle with that geo? Dose it feel like a old trials bike or is it a more street style geo? Want my dad to have a go at one, he's a welder by trade. Edited April 22, 2014 by gale30jawa
Trials-Mikey
Looks like I'm stuck with all this excess tubing now Hahaha. i know someone who would buy it Edited April 22, 2014 by Trials-Mikey

Want my dad to have a go at one, he's a welder by trade. It's about half-way between a trials bike and a BMX. Very quick, direct, and insanely tetchy. It's great for street if you're accustomed to a regular mod, and doesn't sacrifice too much of the "trialsy" feel, but it is short. You have to throw some pretty odd body shapes for it to work for sidehops etc, but it's a worthwhile sacrifice, in my opinion.

TOMTRIALS123
Hey Flipp, did u hire the welding equipment or buy it cause I'd of thought that would be the most expensive part of building it? Also, did u use a jig? I really want to try this now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edited May 22, 2014 by TOMTRIALS123
aener
Thanks guys! Forgot about this thread. Frame is still good - thought it was cracked but then when I stripped the paint off to weld it up it appears it was just a paint crack. Going to make a new one with thinner tubing soon to see if I can get the weight down a bit. Made this one with longevity in mind, not weight Adam has a little hobby MIG welder that I used, and the jig was just a length of 20mm box section with holes drilled in strategic places
Jake.
Was this the frame used as a trampoline bike or was that something else?
TOMTRIALS123
Was this the frame used as a trampoline bike or was that something else? I thought it was the one he used in Swint or Slude right?
jack dickinson
Was this the frame used as a trampoline bike or was that something else? i think the trampoline bike was a marinio? could be wrong
isitafox
No it was a JAF
Mark W
I think it may have been his old, old Marino frame. I think all his JAF frames were painted whereas that haggard old Marino was always clear-coated.
isitafox
My mistake, was thinking of something completely different! from the old JAF vs Marino argument days!
aener
This frame is the one I rode throughout my most recent video, and am still riding. The tramp-bike was the old Marino.
