So it all kciks off with russia and the middle east But ohhhh lookk over here a plane has gone missing  Perfect distraction To divert attention away from the conflicts with russia and ukraine .

A doubble bluff so no one notices them (the usa/isreal sneaking in to bomb the shit out of syria AGAIN while putin has his special forces units tied up in crimea.

putin cannot defend syria-while shit is kicking off in his own backyard-Easy pickings for israel and usa now then !

Its their sneaky way of getting putins army localised in his country so he cannot defend syria

Firstly, it hasn't particularly worked well in that even mainstream news sites are still putting out plenty of coverage from Ukraine/Crimea.

Secondly, every report about Russia's involvement points out that they used a very small amount of resources infiltrating Crimea so if Putin needed to 'defend Syria' it wouldn't be a problem. They knew it wouldn't be an issue taking control there so it seems they didn't commit much power to it simply because there was no need, and it would look worse globally if they were too heavy-handed. There was enough press about the Ukrainian officer getting killed (and the pro-Russia guy too).

Are you such a non-sheep that you don't even call it Crimea? I doubt that the US had any plans of trying to get in there and get the "resources" in Crimea. They were tied up by the Ukraine government and were already being sold to other countries, so it wouldn't have been possible for the US to have done much with that without it being pretty obvious to the EU, many member states of which aren't exactly over the moon with the US at the moment. Not to mention the way that Crimea have been pro-Russia for a while, so I doubt that the US could commandeer their oil and gas without someone spilling the beans, and then things kicking off massively at what's a very strong location for Russia (with them already having military bases there courtesy of the Partition Treaty) and a weak one for the US.

I doubt the US would particularly want Gazprom to take over that supply (which it seems they're going to do), but I think that view is probably shared by a lot of people rather than specifically just them. Similarly, not wanting someone else to do something doesn't guarantee that you yourself would want to do whatever that may be.
