geoffo Posted March 2, 2014 Author Report Share Posted March 2, 2014 cheers, dont mind a little work, being a moto-trials guy this is new to me, i see loads online - not overly worried bout weight as im a big guy and used to a beta and downhill bike. i assume thry are all universal and fit everything from v-brakes to maguras? Blake Posted March 2, 2014 Report Share Posted March 2, 2014 To expand from the incredibly useful reply, they are not entirely universal no. You have separate boosters for V brakes entirely, they are a different design. With boosters they have to be compatible with your brake mounts, so measure the distance between the centre of the bolt holes and look for a booster with a specified range that matches the measurement you've taken. There is a vid on tarty that explains it a bit better. Also some have different levels of stiffness to others, I got on really well with my Echo SL 2bolt booster, a few other people had them as well.
