N.Wood
Grinder with metal cutting for mounts and flap disk for paint removal?
ogre
i don't own a grinder, and i'd prefer something a little less powerful so i can take my time. i'm going to have a look at this in a bit, i get discount from maplin to most of the paint is gone from my frame, there are just small sections with paint on them. dezmtber
Hacksaw blade with bartape or foam and tape wraped round one end use it like a skeleton saw then finish the job with a file and wet n dry.
ogre
picked up a reotarry tool set from maplin for 25 quid; i've rawed my forks, and had a go at my bash mount, but i need a proper grinder to do those i recon.

Sam Nichols
I used a Dremel to remove the magura mounts from my Skye, it was fun. I don't really know how thick bashring mounts are though, I'm guessing pretty chunky? Easiest/safest way is probably to just hack saw them as close as you can and use a hand file to do the rest. If you use a grinder just make sure you keep it steady!!
