Is there anything i can write in the description to stop them doing this ? Not really. It works when acknowledging the ownership rights of the song. Kevinfor
As far as I understand YouTube has a program that is constantly searching for copyrighted material, but it needs a perfect match to be able to do anything so maybe you could play the song at 1.1x the speed? bikeperson45
Usually it's annoying noticeable speeding it up of changing pitch. Maybe just do a test upload to see if they'll take it before you put any work into that song?
MadManMike
Changing the speed doesn't work. I upload DJ mixes and they get muted all the time - the songs are never played at 1x in my mixes.
CalopS
Use Vimeo. Much better in every way!
JT!
Are you monetizing your vids? If not usually you can acknowledge your copyright infringement then ads may be placed on your video and the copyright holder will make money from them, and your video won't get taken down. But if that's not an option you can't do much about it.
