Echo es4 and D521 rims. Need new pads

Hi,

I'm doing up my bike that I haven't ridden for 8 years or so. It's an echo es4 and I'm using a D521 rim so my magura pads never used to reach the rim so I used to make some and glued some plazmatic pads onto the base of some black ones.

Is there a pad on the market that will save me doing that again? What's the best magura pads these days anyway?

Cheers

Nope, that frame was just designed for a trials rim, and a D521 is 28mm, that's pretty much XC by today's trials standard, or even 10+ years ago.

You're gonna need a bigger rim! Your mod sounds dangerous too.

Offset mounts only work for moving slaves out, not in.

I wouldnt recommend them to any one as I found them shit, they tend to move now and again due to the area being clamped is off set so less clamping pressure there. Edited by dave33

Surely you should know that a D521 was considered a fantastic trials rim 10+ years ago :P

I love this thread, sure takes me back.

Did you file down the little lips on them? makes them grip a bit better
