Streety wheels

Hello guys

So I decided that I go with an Onza Zoot Pro built. I already have a disc+hs33 brakes, and I want to keep the DD option free for future, so the zoot wheels would not suitable for me.

This is the part where I got confused:

I would like to use my bike streety and trialsy, but I am just a beginner.

Should I go with a cheaper freehub (around £50 max) or with a fixed hub (same price, I have a V!z FFW at the moment)?

What rims should I use? Drilled one ,like the because ones from tarty, or something streety, like Dartmoore, Atomlabs, Spank, Aliennation,Halo? Are street rims heavy for trialsy use, or at my level it does not really matter?

Spokes? the Halo spokes from tarty I reckon would be good

guys, I know literally nothing about street trials wheels, could you help me out please?

If you can afford a pro 2 then get one, even 2nd hand it is a good investment!

As for rims something like a deevee is strong enough for trials and would do for normal trials. Spank would be my first choice but trying to get a pair wider than 30mm in a 24" is a nightmare now!

The rim must be/should be more than 30 mm wide then?

I am looking at Aliennator at the moment at CRC it is at nice price and good colour (I want my bike look cool :D)

is Maxxis Holy roller a good tyre? I think it should be, I saw loads of bikes using that

30mm is a good starting point, I wouldn't go any narrower, 35mm+ is ideal, DMR backlines are 35mm, they're basically big Deevees, and they're on ebay for £20 each.

For some reason I can't paste a link here though.

I've used Black Halo spokes on plenty of wheels & they're fine, so are their black nipples.

Those alien rims look shit, cheap & nasty.

Dmr backlines are the same price as them on ebay, for £23 posted you ain't gonna get a better rim, but you seem keen on shopping at Tarty at all costs.

It's up to you, big strong 35mm rim, or cheap nasty 30mm rim. Same price.

That is the reason why I made this topic

I see them and they look nice, but they are black. I have a white and a black rim, and the coloured one look better, that is the reason why I am thinking about the alien ones

maybe gold ones, and i can go full Ali C :D - the hope pro hub.- the Inspired arcade.

it is not priority, I mean the alienation rim is out of choice, as I want good quality rims, but I am looking for some coloured options, as it is not essential, but preferable

for example

http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/173944-zoot-finally-ready-new-pics-added/?hl=spank

vs

http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/images/custom/bikes24/large_onzazoot2013.jpg

For me personally the coloured rim version looks better somehow, and of course, I would not spend £100 on 2 rims and if I cannot find a coloured rim at reasonable price at goof quality, then the DMR will be my choice!

And a question as it could make my choice easier:

How hard is it to paint a wheel? JD did that if I remember well, I would look for somekind of metallic colour

And how Stiffy hold the grind, or should I use it grinded/maggies, or I should go for a pad for ungrinded rim?
