isitafox
Phase's are pretty good bikes for learning the basics on though the problem with that one is you're gonna start off having to get a new set of cranks which could be anything from £20-50 depending if you buy trials specific and when you get to the point where you want to progress you'll basically have to buy a completely new bike as there's not really anything on that worth carrying over to a new frame
marshole82
Fair point. Its all entry level bees etc. Thought it'd be worth a punt but I see your point. Now, how to find £200 for the echo without dipping in the wedding fund or having the missdus find out...Vees, not bees!
isitafox
Dip into that fund, tell her it's an early wedding present to yourself
marshole82
Right, so I can't afford a whole bike right now, so I reckon I'm gonna build instead. On the lookout for a cheap frame to see what's about. In the meantime this is my daily hack....95 kona painted white with on one carbon rigids. Recently shaved 1.3kg off of the weight by changing a few bits (not wheels).
*gentlydoesit
Its usually more cost effective to buy a full build.
marshole82
True but I can't justify the outlay, plus I like to build them! If I can find a 135mm rear for 26" frame then I could build a bike with the spare parts that I have...bar a few bits anyway.
