ogre
Hey i have a fairly new conti gatorskin, i had a crash a few months ago and put 3 small holes in the sidewalls. i've been riding with the same tyre ever since. Today my tube burst as a result. i've got these tyre boots i've cut one boot to patch the three holes, fixed the puncture and left the wheel with 120 psi in it. the tyre comes out of profile a tiny amount where the tears are, but nothing like before. do you think i'll be alright using the tyre, or should i stop being tight and get a new one? trialsbikingnunn
Similar sort of thing happened to my conti grand prix tyres, i rode with them for a while after i got the punctures and it happened again :/ best thing to do is just get new tyres
rocky111
Oh let down I though this was going to be a post about how you made your old tyres into boots. Check it before each ride, ride it until it blows and then make into a new pair of boots
