help with my king

X-ray 92

Check all of the helical splines are spotlessly clean, I use an old toothbrush with gt85. Use a lightweight wet synthetic oil and apply sparingly to all of the splines on the drive shell (you can use the toothbrush to spread it around), I use finishline wet in my king and never have any problems.

If there is any damage or binding of the splines then it will be more likely to skip, also check the drive rings for burrs on the edges of the teeth. You should be able to carefully clean up any burrs with a needle file.

Did you bed the rings in? Ideally you want to be covering at least a hundred miles (on an xc or road bike) before subjecting them to trials stresses.
